Retarder Films

Parameters that can be measured:

  • Complete Mueller Matrix of the sample which includes retardance, fast-axis direction, polarizer efficiency, transmittance, depolarization and transmission axis orientation.
  • In-plane retardance (R0)
  • Out-of plane retardance (Rth)
  • Inclination angle (β) of the indicatrix

Types of Samples that can be measured:

  • A-Plates, B-Plates, C-Plates, and O-Plates (such as splayed WV film)
  • Patterned Retarder Films for 3D Display
  • Rod-type and disc-type compensation films
  • Patterned films for 3D displays

Polarizer Films

Parameters that can be measured:

  • The complete Mueller Matrix of the sample which includes retardance, fast-axis direction, polarizer efficiency, transmittance, depolarization and transmission axis orientation
  • Polarization state orientation angle
  • Ellipticity of transmitted polarization state
  • Retardation properties of attached compensation films and/or retardation films
